Dr. Ravi Prakash Maurya

Dr. Ravi Prakash Maurya, with over 36 years of distinguished experience in academia, research, and agricultural extension, currently serves as the Director/Chairman of PRSARD Trust in Malhani, Bhatpar Rani, Deoria, U.P. He retired as Professor of Agricultural Entomology and Senior Scientist & Head of KVK at Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya, U.P. Dr. Maurya holds a B.Sc. (Ag), M.Sc. (Ag) in Entomology, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension. His contributions to agriculture are vast, having authored 6 books, 8 chapters, 168 popular articles, and 48 training manuals, all aimed at improving agricultural practices and farmer education. A prominent figure in agricultural outreach, Dr. Maurya has delivered 59 Radio Talks and 23 TV Talks, reaching a wide audience to disseminate scientific knowledge. He has also organized and led numerous programs, including Kisan Melas, workshops, training sessions, and RAWE programs, at national, state, and district levels, empowering farmers, extension workers, and students. Dr. Maurya’s dedication to agricultural development has earned him 14 prestigious awards, and he remains an active member of over 14 professional societies. Through his ongoing participation in international and national conferences, research presentations, and community outreach, Dr. Maurya continues to lead efforts to advance agricultural knowledge, improve farming practices, and support rural development.
Dr. Maurya holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture Extension from CSM Kanpur University and has taught and mentored countless students at Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology. His expertise spans Agricultural Entomology and Extension Services, making him a key figure in the agricultural research community.
With 6 books, 168 articles, and over 50 training manuals, Dr. Maurya has contributed extensively to agricultural literature. His work is aimed at bridging the gap between scientific research and practical farming solutions, with a focus on empowering farmers through knowledge.
Dr. Maurya’s dedication to agriculture has earned him 14 awards, including recognition for his work in agricultural research, extension, and education.
As Chairman of PRSARD Trust, Dr. Maurya leads initiatives focused on sustainable farming practices, rural development, and farmer welfare. His vision is to make agriculture more resilient, productive, and profitable for Indian farmers.
